WE DO HAVE WINDOWS!

STYLE OF SCHOOL
Located on the edge of Cobourg, near the 401 on Danforth Road, Northumberland Christian School resembles a chalet more than a school. It is built on seven acres of land that include a stream, playing fields, an outdoor volleyball court, playground equipment and a large paved area for basketball and street hockey.

A recent indoor environmental inspection by an expert representative from a consulting firm specializing in the field found Northumberland Christian School’s building to be environmentally friendly. He stated that the school building was “designed to be passive solar heated with lots of south facing windows which reduced heat loss by minimizing glazing on the North side”. It was also stated that the building lets ample light into the classrooms, even in wintertime, making it a healthier, brighter place for students to learn.
Northumberland Christian School strives to teach its students to care for God's creation. Reducing and recycling are encouraged and practiced in every area of the school's daily life. A small woods on the west end of the property and a playground bordered by trees allow for many teachable moments regarding the wonders of our world.
At Northumberland Christian School, we recognize the importance of caring for the world God has given us.

FACILITIES OF SCHOOL
