He stated that the school building was “designed to be passive solar heated with lots of south facing windows which reduced heat loss by minimizing glazing on the North side”. It was also stated that the building lets ample light into the classrooms, even in wintertime, making it a healthier, brighter place for students to learn. Northumberland Christian School strives to teach its students to care for God's creation. Reducing and recycling are encouraged and practiced in every area of the school's daily life. A small woods on the west end of the property and a playground bordered by trees allow for many teachable moments regarding the wonders of our world. FACILITIES OF SCHOOL Northumberland Christian school has 5 classrooms and a Resource classroom, a large computer lab with up to date computer equipment, a library, and a large auditorium for chapels and other full school gatherings.
